This is a recently-graded copy of the first printing of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #2 by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, published by Mirage Studios in 1984. The issue has been graded a 9.6 (NM+) with off-white/white pages by the Comics Guaranty Corporation (CGC). There are only a few hundred such graded copies in existence, according to CGC's census, with even fewer in higher grades.

This comic predated the eventual black-and-white comics boom of the mid-1980's, and had a comparatively low print run compared to other comics of the era. It went virtually unnoticed when first published and has since went on to become a highly-prized collectors' item.
